Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is a hands-on treatment approach that treats the soft tissue and joints in the body. Massage therapy can increase range of motion, reduce pain and tension, decrease stress as well as help to promote circulation. Massage therapy can help treat: Chronic pain, repetitive stress injuries, muscle and joint pain, headaches, prenatal and post partum discomfort, stress/anxiety, scar tissue and many more. Registered massage therapy is covered under many extended health benefit plans.

Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that looks at and treats the whole person and not just their pain. It is based on understanding the relationship between structure and function to enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal. When all of the body’s components are in balance, a person is complete and in total health. The philosophy of Osteopathy is based the following four basic principles: Each structure in the body supports the body’s functions. The natural flow of the body’s fluids – lymphatic, vascular and neurological must be preserved and maintained. The human body is the sum of its parts. Its physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cognitive systems don’t work independently, they work in harmony. When the body has no restrictions, it has the inherent ability to heal itself. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners use various manual assessments and techniques to identify and remove restrictions and pain, reduce swelling and improve tissue mobility.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a natural therapeutic method based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that connect to other areas, glands, and organs of the body.
Following illness, stress, injury or disease the body is in a state of “imbalance” and vital body systems can be blocked, preventing the body from functioning optimally. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance and facilitate healing.
Through; the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology therapy can relieve tension, improve circulation and support the body’s efforts to function optimally.
Reflexology can help manage many common ailments of the body including; musculoskeletal pain, insomnia, anxiety, stress, hormonal and digestive issues along with many more.

Cupping
Cupping is an alternative therapy that decompresses soft tissues using a vacuum suction. There are a few different application techniques, but Mariah uses hard plastic cups with a pump gun that creates the suction within the cup. Cupping can help improve blood flow, decease inflammation, break up scar tissue, boost immune function, remove toxins, and can reduce muscle tension.

Temporiomandibular Joint Massage (TMJ)
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects the lower jaw to the skull, facilitating essential functions like speaking and eating. Dysfunction in this joint can manifest as pain or malalignment, affecting areas such as the neck, shoulders, face, and teeth. Massage therapy effectively addresses TMJ issues by restoring muscle balance and increasing blood flow to reduce inflammation and alleviate trigger points.
Treatment options for TMJ dysfunction include intraoral massage, which targets specific muscles inaccessible from outside the mouth. Before proceeding with this technique, the massage therapist thoroughly discusses the procedure with the client and ensures their comfort throughout the session. Immediate pain relief often follows the treatment, although some clients may experience temporary discomfort before experiencing long-term improvement.
Following the massage therapy session, clients receive personalized homecare guidance to support ongoing pain management and tension reduction. Adhering to these recommendations is crucial for maintaining the benefits of the treatment and achieving optimal results in the long term.

Intra-Oral Massage for TMJ
Intra-Oral Massage is a specialized technique designed to address jaw pain, tension, and discomfort associated with Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction. This therapy involves gentle manipulation of the muscles inside the mouth, as well as the surrounding jaw, neck, and facial muscles. It helps to alleviate pain, reduce muscle tightness, and improve jaw mobility. This treatment is particularly effective for individuals who experience symptoms such as jaw clicking, grinding, clenching, headaches, and neck or shoulder pain. By targeting the deep muscles of the jaw and mouth, Intra-Oral Massage can relieve tension that may be difficult to address through traditional external massage techniques. It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and helps restore balance and function to the TMJ area.

Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating treatment that targets the scalp, neck, shoulders, and face—areas where stress and tension are most often felt. Promoting relaxation, improving circulation, and helps alleviate headaches and muscle tension. During the treatment, heated towels are applied to the neck, face, and chest to enhance relaxation and improve circulation, while nourishing hair oil is massaged into the scalp to promote hair health and a sense of calm. The combination of these soothing techniques can also help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and promote mental clarity. This therapy provides both physical and emotional benefits, leaving you feeling balanced and rejuvenated.

Warm Bamboo Massage
Warm Bamboo Massage is a unique and deeply soothing therapy that combines the healing power of massage with the warmth of bamboo. During the treatment, smooth, heated bamboo sticks are gently rolled and used to apply pressure to areas of tension in the body. The heat from the bamboo helps to relax the muscles, improve circulation, and enhance the overall therapeutic effect. This massage is ideal for relieving deep muscle tension, improving flexibility, and promoting relaxation. The warmth of the bamboo helps to melt away stress, while the deep pressure can target stubborn knots and tightness. Whether you’re looking to unwind after a stressful day or ease chronic muscle discomfort, Warm Bamboo Massage offers a calming and effective solution for both body and mind.
